Wednesday Night Dinner & Worship

March 4, 11, 18, 25, & April 1

5:30-7:00 pm

Every Wednesday in Lent we gather for a time of food, fellowship, and worship. Dinner starts being served at 5:30 (but it’s ok if you can’t arrive until later). We’ll eat and spend time together until about 6:20 (and the kids can spend time singing with Myrtle during this time) and then move to the Sanctuary for worship using Holden Evening Prayer.

 Holy Week Worship

Palm/Passion Sunday - April 5th @ 11:00 am

Maundy Thursday - April 9th @ 7:00 pm

Good Friday - April 10th @ 7:00 pm

Holy week worship marches us through the final days of Jesus’ life. We begin on Sunday morning remembering Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem. But then the rest of our Sunday worship is an interactive retelling of his last supper, betrayal, arrest and trial, and crucifixion.

Maundy Thursday worship centers on Jesus’ final night with his disciples. Our worship begins with a “Living Last Supper” - a drama enacted by members of Our Father that focuses on the disciples wondering if they could possibly betray Jesus. We then receive Holy Communion and watch as the altar is stripped bear. We leave in silence, waiting for worship to continue the next day.

Good Friday worship centers on Jesus’ death. Our worship is a traditional Tenebrae service that uses darkness to emphasize the solemness of the day. It is a powerful evening of contemplating the depths of God’s love for us, and ends with Jesus dead in the tomb. We leave in silence, waiting for worship to continue on Easter Sunday.

Easter Sunday

Sunday, April 12th @ 11:00 am

Christ is Risen! Our worship bursts with brass and flowers and joy overflowing! We celebrate the new life found in Christ with Holy Communion worship. Then, after worship, we enjoy a large potluck luncheon and fellowship time together. Come celebrate Christ’s resurrection with us!
